filling
- 8 cups of cut fruit
- 2 table spoons of lime juice
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 2 teaspoons of flour 1
- 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
topping
- 1 & 1/2 cups of flour
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 & 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 & 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- freshly grated nutmeg to you hearts content
- 3/4 cup of chilled butter cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 1 egg
- 1/2 half cup of oats or 1/4 cup of oats and a 1/4 cup of nuts
- 1 table spoon of lime zest
Directions
- preheat oven to 350
- zest then juice one lime or till you get enough juice and zest
- get a 13×9 baking pan and put all the filling ingredients in then mix
- in a mixing bowl add the flour, sugars, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, oats and lime zest and begin mixing
- while mixing slowly add the butter once all butter is added put in the egg mix till combined
- make sure the fruit mixture is level in the 13×9 then crumble the topping over the top
- bake for 40 min2
